The restaurant and lounge bar offers a wide range of food and drink catering for all tastes, with a fast food takeaway for those nights when you want something quick and simple. The onsite shop offers a great variety of groceries and you can also get fresh filled rolls, daily newspapers and more! If you need to do some laundry whilst you are on holiday our Launderette is open every day.

Fishing at Thurston Manor

Stocked with rainbow trout our lake is perfect for both keen anglers and families who want to try something new. You can purchase catch and release fishing permits for 4 and 8 hours or a full permit that allows you to keep up to three fish. 

Full Permit

Up to 8 hours fishing for an adult or a child, keeping up to three fish £14 per person

Catch and Release Permits

8 Hours Adult £12 / Child £6

4 Hours Adult £6 / Child £3

Rod Hire

8 Hours £5 per rod plus £10 refundable deposit

4 Hours £3 per rod plus £10 refundable deposit

All permits and rod hire can be arranged at the Park Reception.

Woodland Walks

Thurston Manor’s immaculate parkland will exceed your expectations. The park, set in 175 acres of magnificent countryside, is maintained to the highest standards by an experienced team and is home to a diverse range of wildlife.

There are miles and miles of woodland to explore, we have detailed couple of the most popular on park woodland routes below, more detailed information and a map are available from the park reception.

The Red Walk Distance: Approx 5 Miles Grade of Walk: Moderate

A lovely long circular walk on smooth and rough terrain. Explore most of the parks wonderful woodland, a perfect route for spotting wild flowers and an abundance of wildlife.

The Orange Walk Distance: Approx 2 Miles Grade of Walk: Easy/Moderate

This easy to moderate route takes you through the park and around the lake. The route is smooth but does have a steep slope. A route the whole family can enjoy, ideal for spotting wildlife and if you remember to take some bread the little ones can enjoy feeding the ducks and swans.
